When in Rome

So my first night in Rome I arrive around 6pm checked into the hostel and headed out for supper and a walk around 7pm . By the time I found a grocery store and stumbled upon Foro Romano, the sun was starting to set and I had a romantic picnic  with my self. I then proceeded to get lost and finally made it back to my hostel at around 10pm. At least the next day I had a much better grip on the city.

So if you think that would have been a nice picnic spot all I had to do was turn my head to the right and boom there it was the Vitto Riano.
It's.
 MASSIVE.
To get perspective look from the horse straight down to the wreath, on either side you will see two tiny guards.

Forno Romano by day

Vitto Riano by day, this was my favourite building in Rome. Not only does it command respect, in its underbelly it houses a lovely museum, and on the top you can go for lunch at a lovely cafe which boasts terrific views of the city.

Changing of the guard

Again, I urge you scroll back up and look at the full shot of the building, so you can have a better perspective of the size.

We always love a man in uniform.

The Colosseo

The latest addition to my favourite park list, the beautiful and serene Villa Borghese

I got to spend a whole day reading under the sun, thanks to @jesrip <3
