San Gimignano and Tuscany

Who's this cutie bear I found? @SageKuderewko

It was SO great to see Sage and her BF @MikeRosloot they are revoltingly adorable, and are the definition of  "the perfect pair". Sage is a biologist and Mike is a engineer, I always love hanging out with people who expand my vocabulary. Mike taught me  some new words like "Newb" and "Intrinsic Value" ( regarding synthetic vs real diamonds). While Sage, caught me up on all the latest Regina celeb gossip. It was lovely to have someone to paint my nails with and shared our mutual love for "hospital tucked" sheets,  when making out hostel beds.

If I've said it once, I could say it a million times, I have the best friends.

The three of us spent the day refining our wine tasting skills, touring vineyards, snoozing in the sun,  and roaming the Tuscan country side. It was blissful to say the least.

Hi baby

We caught the tail end of a wedding at a small church in San Gimignano. All of the guests were throwing rice as the couple burst through the chapel doors. Everyone watching in the town square clapped and cheered, it was straight out of the movies.

This was there get away car.

But what's there to get away from? They must have really high honey moon standards.

Can you see the liz? He's mid colour change.

I don't know if ice cream will ever satisfy me again after tiramisu gelato.

Ciao darlings

Meet Marian

Marian is a writer, a painter, a seamstress and an actress. When she was young she dreamt of being of being a dress designer. Inspired by the glossy pages of Seventeen magazine, she always made all of her outfits.  To this day she always comes out of her room and gives us a little twirl. "What do you think?" she says smiling. Spinning around delicately, with her hands daintily flipped out to the side. She always looks great, I can't wait to get home and see her next outfit.
As a child, my cousins and I would spend a part of our summer at grandmas house, like most little girls. She always had us painting, crafting, singing, play writing, dressing up and dancing. Grandma,  taught us to always, make a rough draft. She was our editor, publicist, director and citric (we always  received sterling reviews, of course). She planted, watered and nurtured our creativity.
She is the definition of sweet. She chooses to see the world through rose coloured glasses. She looks for good in everyone and always seems to find it. If you could bottle her laugh it would smell like angle food cake. She is an amazing woman.

(You might be wondering why my blog is called MariOn Charlotte now, well ask blogger, I couldn't have Marian Charlotte. )

Ciao Ciao

Music makes me happy.

 Jessie Ware's latest video - %110
Also check out Valentine, it's my favourite song of hers

Trampled by Turtles - Alone
Also check out Midnight on the Interstate
Honestly, the simplicity of his tattoo, the guitar and his voice make me swoon.
I love this viddy.

Michael Kiwanuka - Home again

Felix Cartal - Tonight (feat. Maja Ivarsson from The Sounds)
Try to not be hypnotised by the staccato.

Muddy Waters - Got my mojo workin'

When I was wee little my babysitters husband (who was like a grandpa to me),
would sit me on his knee and play me the harmonica. He smelled like Du Maurier cigarettes and whisky, and I loved him dearly. RIP

Tennis - My better self

Lucifer - Jay Z
Just a little throw back
My entire apartment building, probably knows all the words to this song now, as well as "You and I" by Lady Gaga... Needless to say the other day they were both blaring on repeat.

A not so subliminal message

Come Run With Me

Come run with me.

Break your stride and come run with me

I grow restless waiting for you

Come run with me.

The night is black as the oceans depths but it dances endlessly with freedom

I know you want to

Come run with me.

We will run to the end and beginning of the horizon, where the wild things are.

The living sky's will guide the way

Come run with me.

Come run with me, because we are wild things and

 No one can stop us.

Paris

Its nice to be back in France, even though I will only be here until Sunday!

My partners in crime and I have all been to Paris before, so we did not partake in all of the traditional tourist activities... thank god. I don't know if I even like tourist attractions anymore... I much prefer to wander around leisurely, and stumble upon things like "Bad Boys Road".

When one has been in Europe for four months, you are allowed to go to American restaurants and enjoy them. I almost died when the waiter refilled my AMERICAN coffee with out having to be asked.
* Little Things *

I miss my book shelf.

 Gurelain <3

I don't particularly love the scent, but I adore the ad campaign.

Paris couldn't decide if she wanted to be rainy or sunny...

Yum, Vietnamese.

A Dieu,
(hehe)

Brussels

Space Invader ? Is that you?

Did you know that, "French" fries are originally from Belgium. So, in search for  the "real deal" we turned to the guide books and wound up here?

Which is clearly the most sanitary kitchen I've ever eaten from, in my life.

The fries turned out to be pretty delicious in the end and I'm still alive.

We also tried really hard to enjoy some beer

But I don't even think this counts : (

On Tap

We took a day trip to Bruges, which is about an hour train ride from Brussels. Its like your walking around in a Disney movie. Everything that is not a castle, is mini and darling. Little shops, little doors, little houses, little windows and little old ladies out for walks....

I can't even comment on the chocolate, my mouth starts to water...

Oh and lastly, Belgian Waffles are to die for, and taste nothing like the ones we eat in Canada.

Ciao, Ciao
See you in Paris
