So being a child of the 90ies I have grown up with street art, all of my life. Weather I took note of it or not, its everywhere. Instagram, twitter backgrounds, profile pictures, tumblr accounts, street art book, after street art book, after street art book... you just have to notice.
I am super into documentaries as of late and I highly recommend "Exit Through the Gift Shop". Therri the Frenchmen is quite the character ( /wack job ) and getting a glimpse into the exciting nocturnal life of a graffiti artist is pretty cool. Most importantly, the film pretty much makes a mockery of the whole commercial side of art, which is highly entertaining (for me anyways). So for all of you who don't read street art books, here are some of the faces (or pixelated versions) of some of the most iconic graffiti artists of our generation.
