Duomo di Milano

The Duomo is one of the most breathtaking churches I've ever seen next to  the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona and Notre Dame de Paris. It is the third largest church in Europe and the fifth largest in the world. It took 500 years to complete and the best part about it is, you can go up on the roof and really appreciate the detail. It is truly a surreal experience.

Be sure to notice the people in the bottom left corner to get a better perspective of the size.

I love these pictures, because the cathedral is stunning AND they have a little B in the bottom of them :)

Grazie Mille Milano!

Naviglio Grande Antiques Market, Milan

Wow, where do I even begin! Anyone who knows me, knows that I am very into antiques and vintage. Luckily, I have great friends with equal interests, so when Britt and I were deciding what weekend I should come to Milan, the fact that the antique market was on, seemed to be the deal maker.

I would describe the Navigilo Grandeas a GIGANTIC antique buffs, dream market. Everything from vintage Chanel, Dior and Hermes. To records, furniture, home wares, books, prints, junk, furs, pipes, knives, trunks and Ray Bans. We spent about 6 hours walking around, and it was definitely some of my favourite six hours I've spent in Europe so far.

Milano!

So, I went to Milan last week to spend some time with one of dear friends Britt and her wonderful husband Greg. We shared lots of laughs, lots of gelato and lots of sunshine.
It was so lovely so see people from home, thanks again for the great trip!

Celling painted by Leonardo da Vinci, in Milans Sforza Castel

Pistol whip, potato chip, cool whip.

Sforza Castel is now made into a whole bunch of little galleries and museums, which hold some very cool things, from furniture, sculptures, paintings, and objects. This fabulous cutlery set is probably my favourite exhibit we saw.

Friday night zaa with manis and pedis. Prefection, after a long day of playing tourist.

The onion print followed me around the entire time I was in Milan,
" Buy meee, come try me onnn, you know you want too..."

The perfect stereotypical Italian restaurant, filled with Italians.
Lets talk about fresh pasta.
