London

London, where to begin? Other then that she was everything I expected and more.  The second I stepped into the airport I immediately felt like I was back in North America (such a lovely feeling), you could automatically tell that Canada comes from British roots. I imagine it to be about one tenth of the warm fuzzy feeling I will get when I officially land on Canadian soil, at the end of the summer.

The first thing I noticed in London were theeeeee (drum roll) MEN, tall and thick, nothing like the whippet thin French. Lots of handsome blokes milling about in classic Burberry trenches, accessorised with the navy-est of blue and mahogany  umbrellas. Toteing butter soft, calf skin brief cases in the colour of, the most delicious toffee. Did I mention my hostel was located in the financial district? Good thing I looked like a 14 year old running around in my sneakers and ponytail... sigh*

Fortnum and Mason's and Harrods are probably the most dazzling shopping centres I have EVER seen. One day I will come back with gobs of money and have my wicked way with them.

But above all else, my favourite thing we did, was go to the Tate Modern. A gallery that I have been dying to go to for years. It was very inspiring, thought provoking and weird.  I could have stayed all day.

Mr. Big Ben

Inside they stink like urine and dead bodies : D
Which seems to be a common aroma for small, enclosed, public places, in Europe.

The London Eye

St. James Park

Some of the many creatures living in St. James

I mean if I was a goose, I would definitely live in St. James park. Duh.

Westminster Abby

The view from St. James park, if you were to look in the opposite direction you would see the front gates of Buckingham Palace. Which, I could not get any good pictures of because there were to many tourists everywhere and I was highly irritated about it. (and hypocritical, apparently)

Two young chaps, working hard, getting ready for the Olympics.

This was fun to say the least...

Borough Market and my darling travel companions <3

The Tate Modern

"Santa Clause is not evil. There is no need to turn myself against him"

Conclusion : People on drugs write and draw peculiar things.

A giant wooden plug, about the size of a refrigerator hanging from the ceiling.
It was cool.

"Honeyyyyy, I'm in the bedroom... oh and by the way my head turned into a handheld vacuum... but don't worry my bods still kickin!"

Could be worse, I mean at least it's not a burning hot iron. That looks sharp.

Guerrilla Girls

Being excessive is not something to pride yourself over. Boom.
This one made me feel guilty.

This was my favourite exhibit! It was a moderate sized room, with a floor of red mesh fabric, covering the ceiling. A 3D stair case leading up to the floor, from the perspective point.
The detail was amazing and the fabric was like a dream.
Very whimsical, I've never wanted to run up a stair case more.

This was the corner of a room filled with slimy looking, silver tentacle, type things hanging from the ceiling. It felt like you were standing beneath a giant  jelly fish robot. Two very opposite images. Brilliant.

Next up,

Kinda sad pathetic stories?

Sometimes I like things that remind me of how sad and pathetic the human existence is,

BEHOLD
Shut up Little Man

Here's some wisdom the metro shared with me the other morning on my way to school...

So I bought a pair of Chuck's yesterday... I needed some practical walking shoes for my next trip.  I wanted to want, the standard, cream coloured, canvas converse, but I have a hard time buying plain things. For some reason, I felt compelled to purchase these, white leather and leopard, high tops instead?

I haven't worn sneakers since grade nine when I sported  boys brown, DVS Rodrigo's, and a pair of patchwork converse high tops in hot pink, red, white and black. Back in the good old days when I had a Jim Morrison charm on my Nomination bracelet. Then I  started on the road to becoming cheerleading captain and I liquefied my Chuck T's, put my EPIC CD collection under my bed, and took down my Axl poster (RIP) . Some might say it was a sad day.

These just take me back. Aren't they pretty?

Since I may have depressed you with my pathetic-ness here are some guitar riffs of my past that will surely make your bones happy.

Rollin' on the Stairway

ALABAMA SHAKES

Meet my current obsession, Alabama Shakes. There music is like a perfectly mixed cocktail of Led Zepplin and Tina Turner.

Is their honey dripping out of your ears yet?

I found you

Hold on

On your way

You ain't alone

Oh a poem how sweet...

Flight of the Fancy

Flight of fancy

Where will you fly me today?

Lets go to El Dorado... and then Atlantis

But can we be back in time to go to Neverland?
I herd there's a seat sale on

Love is waiting for me in the Bermuda Triangle, but he says he's not lost.
-MC

Want[ed]
As we drive down the ring road we pass an abandoned love seat
Stripped of its cushions and wet from the morning dew
I wonder who sat on the abandoned love seat?
I want[ed] to sit on it with you.

Watering mouths

Diamond back, all black
Snake

Bite the apple sweetheart

Will you let lust foreshadow your fate?

Magnetic Man

I am running from your field but I can feel your draw, pulling at my iron heart.
Heavily, my feet hurry
Running.

The pressure of the strength
Like gravity to earth

My heart is locked in orbit

I run in circles away from and into the magnetic man.

The Doors : A collection of other sides , Spanish Edition

Maybe, searching for answers to questions is more important then the actual answer it self.

[ Maybe ]

I love this picture because I think the man on the right,  might be Wolverine.
