Blown breakers, Stoping floods and Red Valentino

It started off a beautiful day here in my neighbourhood, Jean D'arc

until I blew all the breakers in my apartment...

From pervious Canadian experiences of "blowing a breaker," you flip the out of place switch back into place and "Voila!", the power returns.  What would you do in this case, when all of the switches are going in the same direction?

Well, since you asked I  :
A)Started singing Adel, because it's a tad scary when the power goes out
 B) Lit candles
C) Pulled out "The Girls Guide to Everything", an old favourite of mine since high school

Sadly there was nothing to assist me in my book, but there was plenty of other useful things like:
-How to find and delete viruses
-How to care for tulips (folded down this corner #blackthumb)
-How to hail a cab across the world (Trust me it varies!)
-How to look fresh after a bender
-How to stop a flood
and my current favourite...
-How to Hoover the stairs

I had to resort the tried and true "damsel in distress"  tactic and asked one of my neighbours to help me. Problem solved. Later that day, I marched my fur trimmed booties straight  to Capitole for the sale frenzy that is France in January.

My fav spot today had to be the Red Valentino store

I can't wait to drool over the spring summer line when it comes in, here are my fav's :

Meet Charlotte

Meet Charlotte Doreen Hewitt, my grandmother.
Strong and silent, with classic feminine elegance.

She raised four girls, ran a massive farm with my grandfather, was active in politics, as well as her community. She has never had a sip of alcohol in her life and to this day, is still found, with her dancing shoes on every Friday and Saturday night.
(That is of course if she's not off galavanting with her Grandaughters in France)

She is an amazing woman.

The Kooples

Probably one of my favourite lines I found in Paris, the pictures don't do the fabrics justice.
I can't WAIT for the spring line! Still combing the city for a retailer in Toulouse...

Lady in the street but...

Musée des Augustins

A wolf in sheeps clothing you play
Gingerly you coax, shy yet steadily

Careful now, cupids arrow plunges deep.
And when you cry wolf, I shall not come

But she will, so be happy
you poor, poor, thing

Ebony haired man
Beautiful you are
From the nape of your neck to your fingertip
The stone stairs are calling our names
